Our Story

Tampa's Local
Plumbing Company

Ray Vasquez started Priority Plumbing & Drain in 2009 after 12 years as a licensed journeyman for a commercial contractor. He'd seen too many homeowners get overcharged, misdiagnosed, or left waiting for a plumber who never showed up on time.

The company started with one truck and a rule: answer every call personally and never quote one price and charge another. That rule hasn't changed. Fifteen years and four trucks later, it's still the reason most of our customers come back โ€” and why they refer their neighbors.

We're based in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhood. Our kids go to school here. We shop at the same stores as our customers. When we show up at your house and do the job right, we know there's a good chance we'll see you again. That matters to us more than the invoice.

Priority Plumbing & Drain holds Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor license CFC1431872, carries full general liability insurance and workers' compensation, and every technician on our crew is a licensed journeyman or master plumber.

How We Work

The Rules We
Never Break

We Answer When You Call

A real person answers our phone 24 hours a day. If you get a voicemail, it means every tech is on a job โ€” and someone will call back within 15 minutes. We do not use call centers or answering services.

The Quote is the Price

You get a flat-rate written price before we touch anything. The job can take longer than expected, the parts can cost us more than expected โ€” that's our problem, not yours. The price you approved is the price on the invoice.

We Diagnose Before We Recommend

We don't recommend repairs we haven't confirmed are needed. If we say your sewer line needs replacing, we'll show you the camera footage. If we say you have a slab leak, we'll show you the detection data.

We Leave It Clean

Every tech carries drop cloths, shoe covers, and a shop vac. Your floor looks the same when we leave as when we arrived. If something gets damaged in the process of a repair, we fix it and tell you about it โ€” we don't hide it.

Questions About Priority Plumbing

Frequently Asked

How do I find a trustworthy plumber in Tampa?

Verify the Florida license number at myfloridalicense.com, confirm they carry general liability and workers' comp insurance, and ask for a written quote before any work starts. A contractor who refuses to give upfront pricing in writing is a red flag. Priority Plumbing & Drain holds license CFC1431872 โ€” verify it directly.

Are Tampa plumbers licensed by the state of Florida?

Yes. Plumbing contractors in Florida must hold a Certified Plumbing Contractor (CPC) or Certified Plumbing Contractor Class A (CFC) license issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. You can search and verify any license at myfloridalicense.com. Priority Plumbing & Drain holds CFC1431872.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. All labor is covered by a 1-year warranty. Parts are covered by the manufacturer warranty, which we register on your behalf. If something we fixed fails within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no charge.
